Job Summary

As a Marketing Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, sales, and guerrilla marketing while helping to grow our local customer base. This dynamic internship will have you wearing multiple hats in marketing, sales, and community engagement. You’ll gain valuable, real-world marketing and sales skills that will set you apart in your future career.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Marketing

Personalize and optimize social media pages
Research and create engaging content for posts
Develop and maintain a posting schedule

Community Engagement & Events

Research and attend home & garden shows and local events
Represent the company and engage with potential customers
Distribute marketing materials at community events

Sales & Guerrilla Marketing

Promote services to potential customers and generate leads
Place lawn signs and door hangers in target areas
Execute “Parketing” (strategically parking in high-visibility spots)
Wear the Gunther mascot costume and create buzz in high-traffic areas

Performance Bonus Structure (Sales-Based)

💰 10% commission on total annual revenue from new customers or upsells you bring in
💰 Additional cash bonuses for hitting sales goals

Qualifications

We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable self-starters with an interest in marketing and sales. No previous experience is required, but a friendly demeanor, strong work ethic, and creativity are essential.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
Comfortable with event networking and engaging with potential customers
Strong communication and persuasion skills
Ability to work independently and meet sales goals
